.NAME Domains

Launched in 2001, the Dot NAME top-level domain name extension is the only one meant for personal web pages only. These domains can include personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other designations people are popular by. Initially, solely 3rd-level registrations were permitted, so if you wanted to register john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already bought third-level domain names remained online.

Through our company, you can purchase your .NAME domain for an interval between 1 and 10 years. You will be able to alter the WHOIS contacts, to park your domain, to set up Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an existing domain to our company if you obtain its EPP transfer authorization key from the current registration provider and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been completed. There are no particular prerequisites on who can secure a dot NAME domain name, but in order to maintain the idea behind its creation alive, the Registry organization may check who the Registrant is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain, the registration may be challenged.

The dot NAME generic TLD is one of the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no further cost. In this way, your .NAME domain will be recognized in your country or region with the accurate spelling in your local language.
